Shifu Shi Yanning’s journey in martial arts began within the sacred halls of the Shaolin Temple. As a 34th generation lay disciple of Shaolin. This foundation shaped not only his martial skill but also his personal character — rooted in discipline, humility, and inner stillness.
Expanding beyond Shaolin, Shifu Yanning embraced the classical art of Meihuaquan, one of China’s most ancient martial systems. He is a 17th generation inheritor, having studied under Master Jin Jiankun, President of the Chinese Wushu Association, in Puyang. His passion for this art led him to serve as a council member of the official Meihuaquan Preservation and Inheritance Association, actively supporting the protection of this cultural legacy.
Shifu Yanning has also spent over a decade in kung fu stage performance, working as a lead performer, choreographer, and director. His work brought authentic martial arts to audiences worldwide. Transitioning from performer to teacher, he now focuses on guiding the next generation.
In the classroom, he is known for his precision, wisdom, and deep respect for tradition. Whether working with beginners or experienced students, Shifu Yanning’s mission remains clear: to pass on the living tradition of Kung Fu to all who seek it sincerely.
